Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 Double Red Writing, vintage 1967. This very rare Rolex Sea-Dweller is one of the very first 1665 models to be produced. With the unique 40mm stainless steel thin case, steel bezel with black insert, plexiglass, replaced double red dial. Powered by a calibre 1570 movement. This particular 1967 model holds a significant place in the history of Vintage Sea-dwellers as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the Sea-Dweller with the launch of the new sea dweller anniversary model Rolex 126600. The Rolex 1601 manages to carry that vintage feel, while simultaneously offering practicality. It’s basically an older version of the Datejust that will never go out of style. The 1601 is a perfect size for a vintage watch at 36mm, together with the plexi crystal standing higher than the bezel gives it that extra vintage flare. Our 18ct Gold version fitted with the classic jubilee bracelet together with this rare champagne-bronzed dial. Powered by the well trusted 1570 Rolex caliber that was also used in the Submariner, Seadweller, and GMT of that era, and is regarded by watchmakers as one of the most reliable movements out there. The Rolex 1601 is a great looking vintage watch that can actually be worn everyday. With prices steadily on the increase, now is the time to invest!!! Our watch comes complete with box and papers (including chronometer certificate). Our piece bears the serial number 2834**** was manufactured by Rolex in 1969, although wasn't retailed until September 1972 at Klarlund an official Rolex Centre in Copenhagen. Full set examples like this are virtually unfindable.

Rolex Sea-Dweller 16660. 40mm stainless steel case, original swiss tritium black dial (Swiss -T<25) with luminous hands, hour markers and original bezel and pearl. Date displayed at 3 o'clock. Fitted to a solid stainless steel 93160 Oyster bracelet with double folding clasp and divers extension link. Our totally original example is starting to show gentle signs of creamy patina to the dial and also the bezel pearl. The watch has just returned from our watch-maker having had a complete service. These Sea-Dwellers with the original Swiss T25 Tritium dial are becoming increasingly more difficult to find as an awful lot of dials were replaced at Rolex Service centres. This now discontinued model is sure to be a future classic. Supplied new in 1991. WATCH ONLY!
