Rolex Vintage Submariner 5513 Spider Dial – Vintage 1985

Rolex Submariner 5513 Oyster Perpetual fully automatic Domed Plexi Glass and the rare (Spider dial) our watch has serial no.899—- manufactured 1985 but wasn’t sold new until Oct 1988. The 5513 James Bond Submariner seen in the film (Live and Let Die) was introduced in 1962 and produced until 1990. This model is certainly one of the more collectible Submariners with the simple classic original non date (Spider dial). Our piece with the original dial starting to show a gentle patina and cracking to the enamel nicknamed the (Spider dial) these dials were often replaced for new service dials so they have become very rare indeed ! The cracking is only visible when you catch certain light . The more modern versions of the Submariner are often considered to be inferior to the 5513 especially this model that has the vey special domed plexi crystal that normally has a much more squared off plexi glass, making this a collectors (must have piece.) The watch is in totally original condition, fitted with its original 93150 stainless steel Oyster bracelet. Whoever buys this piece will be astonished by its condition. Just zoom in on the photos and see the original rolex chamfers on the shoulders of the watch case, which shows its been a much loved and very rarely polished watch. These Vintage Subs are rocketing in value.
