The 5513 also famous for its appearance in the James Bond movie (Live and Let Die) The 5513 Subs were introduced in 1962 and produced until 1990. This model is one of the more collectible Submariners with the simple matt charcoal dial.Our piece has that wonderful vintage look with rich creamy hands and hour markers.Fitted with its original fold over flat link stainless steel Rolex bracelet.The Vintage watch case was given crown guards in 1959 so that the winding crown is protected from impact when deep under the sea. Rolex Submariner 5513 Oyster Perpetual fully automatic.(Domed Glass) our watch has serial no.674--- dating to 1980. The 5513 James Bond Submariner seen in the film (Live and Let Die) The 5513 was introduced in 1962 and produced until 1990. This model is certainly one of the most collectible Submariners with the simple classic original matt charcoal dial, nickname "Topper' because the name SUBMARINER was printed above the depth rating for the first time ever! This format remains to this day.Our piece is starting to show the gentle patina that collectors seek! we expect that this dial was only in production for 1 or 2 years. More modern versions of the Submariner are often considered to be inferior to the 5513 especially this model that has the vey special domed crystal that is normally a much more squared off plexi glass,making this one of the most sought after & (collectable) models of the 5513. It is in totally original condition, fitted with its original stainless steel Rolex bracelet. It also comes with its Rolex presentation box, just serviced by our watchmaker who has inspected, oiled and adjusted the movement and is running well and keeping excellent time.

This sailors’ watch originally introduced in 1992, has undergone a major facelift in both its design and technology, now proudly wearing its new best feature the 'Blue dial' which was always the most admired dial choice on the ever popular bi-metal subs. The new Rolex 40-mm Gents Oyster case, of 904L stainless steel and platinum Rolesium bezel which rotates in both directions and now has a notched ring with 120 gradations,the bezel is made entirely of 950 platinum and has a smooth, sand-blasted finish,with highly polished raised numerals and indices. The hour markers on the vivid nautical blue dial are made of 18kt white gold and filled with Chromalight, Rolex's latest luminescent material that gives off a bright blue-tinted glow in the dark.The hands are also made of 18kt white gold with the sporty red seconds.
